About me

Hi, my name is Zhang (张) Shi-Xuan(世轩). I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at ICERM, mentored by Dr. Greg Blekherman. I received my PhD degree in Operations Research at ISyE, Georgia Tech, advised by Dr. Andy Sun.

My research interests lie generally in mathematical optimization theory, methodology, and related engineering applications. Many optimization problems, including mixed-integer polynomial optimization or adaptive stochastic and distributionally robust optimization, arising from important applications such as energy systems and logistics planning, are often perceived as intractable due to the absence of convexity or the large or even infinite dimensionality. With novel perspectives and methodological tools from convex analysis and convex algebraic geometry, I aim to provide theoretic and algorithmic insights with practically efficient optimization solutions for these complex systems under uncertainty.
